international law, international organizations, multilateral and bilateral missions<\/h2>\n<p>Vienna is an important seat for diverse international organizations. Therefore, many persons with privileges and immunities like diplomats, experts and staff of international organizations reside in Vienna. Permanent representations of different nations that international organizations like the IAEA, the UNHCR and the OSCE are located in Vienna.<\/p>\n<p>We have been actively and intensively researching questions of extraterritoriality, the status of international organizations and the status of the diplomats at international organizations and the permits of foreign nations resident in Austria.<\/p>\n<p>We have gained practical expertise on the consequences of the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations, and the Vienna convention on consular relations and other treaties of international law like an traffic law. We are familiar with the regulatory frameworks and routinely communicate with the Austrian Ministry of foreign affairs.<\/p>\n<p>We are actively following the latest developments in the field of international law and administrative practices of the Austrian Ministry of foreign affairs in order to be able to provide comprehensive and reliable advice and services in the international context!<\/p>\n<h3>Diplomats, family members and household members<\/h3>\n<p>From the special status the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations and the Vienna convention on consular relations defines for the diplomats, members of their family and household staff and even to a certain extent local staff, complex legal issues arise, e.g. with regards to the jurisdiction of Austrian courts, the applicability of Austrian Social Security regulations are, Austrian tax law etc.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2018ve also ample experience in administrative (penal) proceedings, enforcement proceedings and criminal proceedings involving diplomats.<\/p>\n<p>Relying on our comprehensive knowledge of the applicable provisions of international law and their Austrian implementation are, we may advise retiring diplomats wishing to obtain the regular residency in Austria.
